Professional Men’s Toastmasters 624
Membership in Toastmasters is one of the greatest investments you can make in yourself. It is also one of the most cost-effective skill-building tools available anywhere.
Professional Men’s Toastmaster’s Club 624 was established in 1957 and we have a number of active members who participated in the club for most of its existence, including Dick Maches, an active member for over 50 years. We retain the name Professional Men’s Toastmasters, though we have had women members who are comfortable in a mostly male atmosphere. Women are always welcomed and always respected. Our members include a solid coterie of Old Timers and experienced Toastmasters, including several who have earned the difficult to achieve Distinguished Toastmaster designation and a number of professionals in their 20s, 30s and 40s. We also have quite a few military veterans, including myself. Most come to improve their speaking and communication skills. Most stay because it is a great learning opportunity and they enjoy the camaraderie. One of our female members shared with me that she joined to become a better speaker, but was pleased that being in the club made her a better person.
I joined the club four years ago. Toastmasters is the most enjoyable and rewarding group I have become associated with since I left my 30 year Navy career.
